Regional Admissions Officer Contact Info

I recently toured UChicago and managed to procure the contact info of my state’s admissions officer. What exactly should I do with this? I feel it’d be almost too on the nose to shoot them an email and say, “hey, I’m interested!”, particularly because I’m less than halfway through junior year. Am I mistaken in this view? Guidance would be much appreciated.
Thanks everyone!

I would absolute not email the admissions rep now – he/she is swamped with applications from the current senior class. In general, you can email an admission rep if you have a question that can’t be answered by the school’s website etc. And you can “procure” the contact information simply by looking at the school website so it is no great secret or advantage.

No, don’t do it. Towards the end of May and beyond, you can think about contacting the rep, but you wouldn’t just say “I am interested.” You need a reason to get in touch.

Got it. Thank you for the advice!

The reps info is on the website so not a big secret. If you go to any college fairs it’s a nice point of contact your junior year to introduce yourself. Having a positive in person encounter with your rep can only help you so I would follow the college nights and fairs for your area to see which ones UChicago will attend.
