<p>Parents of incoming UA freshman, if you haven’t already, I encourage you to see if there is a regional UA Alum Chapter in your area. Alums are a great source of info and can provide you with a very different viewpoint and info that you will receive here on CC. Some chapters have welcome events for new students going off in the fall. </p>

<p>Additionally, many chapters offer scholarships! Requirements and deadlines vary per chapter. Some chapters (may be all - not sure) exclude students who are already receiving those large scholarships from UA - much like UA does with some of the various non-automatic UA scholarships. A student who applied by the December 1 deadline should receive information directly from the chapter.</p>
