Regional Rep Contact Description Thread

i called, this woman referred me to Bruce Chamberlain? which is not my regional rep? My regional rep is supposedly on absense leave? How irresponsible is this?

My rep.'s assistant told me that she will call me at 1:30pm EST. 30 minutes passed, I am still waiting for her call. Can I call back if I don't receive her call? Guys, please give me some advice.

She sent me an email saying that she will be available all day today. Because of the time difference, I got up at 3:00am. Her assistant told me that she will call me at 1.00 pm (8:00am of my time) today. I could not sleep, just hang in there and wait for her call. It did not happen. I called back. The assistant said she forgot to tell me that my rep. called in sick today.

I called yesterday and was supposed to get a call at 2:30 PM yesterday, and if not then definately today... it's already 2:35 and still no call.... doesn't look good for my chances anymore

not only that, but I've missed 2 days of track practices now just to wait for her phone call

heyo, got a return email, telling me to call, i guess i'll do that tomorrow

Pimp I believe your regional rep is on maternity leave. I hardly think that is irresponsible. You bad mouth her so much on cc it is appalling.

lol, i think that's not a wise thing to do... it's easy to track down who an applicant is based on posted stuff

I wrote an email, and my rep responded within 5 minutes. When I called back, however, I found that she was in a meeting.

question- i called my rep yesterday and the secretary told me she'd return my call today. However, my rep called at 10 am, so clearly I was in school. She spoke to my mother for a while, which scares the hell out of me but she told my mom what I should do and she told her to relay the message to me. My mom inferred that she doesn't want to be bothered but I want to speak to her myself but I can't help it that she called my house when I was at school. Should I call back tomorrow or wait until after the vacation?!?!

my rep emailed me back this morning, he was pretty nice about the whole thing...he said that after he looked over my application it was clear that i was deferred not b/c anything was wrong on my app or i had low scores but b/c of competition, he said there were so many qualified applicants like myself and there just isn't enough room for everyone so it seems they want to see how i compare to the regular pool

can anyone please give me David Toomer's email address? pretty please

hey Newyorker, is your regional rep Ms. Sara Harberson? mine is too, i emailed her on friday and still havent got a response.

I have a general question. Penn is my dream school and I would like to show the admissions officers just how much I really would like to go. I already visited once and took the tour in addition to just walking around campus with my dad when I was in Philly this November. I'm going to Philly again next week... want to show Penn to my mom.. lol. I have e-mailed my regional representative because I switched my major on the application from chem to biochem. How else would you guys suggest that I show interest? Should I e-mail my rep telling her just how much I love Penn?

whartonalum, no one told me she is on maternity leave. maybe as a wharton alum, you will naturally gather more info than the rest of us? if she is in fact pregnant, then of course she's not irresponsible. stop trying to single me out or identify me, you are as guilty as i am.

No chlor, David Toomer, I believe, since I go to school in Brooklyn. Still no email. I might as well call tomorrow.

I have not got the opportunity to contact my rep. yet. Have anyone successfully spoken with your regional rep.?

:raises hand:

Sara Harberson happens to be my regional rep. as well. I was actually talking with a different rep. (perhaps Bruce..) and he provided general but still useful information. He was definitely hinting that I was on the lower end of the spectrum when it comes to deferred ED applicants.. :(

Krab - Did you ask him when Ms. Harberson would be back? If she's your rep, she might know your app better. The person on the phone could have just been talking like you said, in general.
