registration/dorm assignments

<p>will we be getting paperwork in the mail for registration/dorm assignments/choosing roomates/updated bulletin, etc, or at least more information? the acceptance packet was a little sparse.</p>

<p>or is everything going to get thrown at us during orientation in aug?</p>

<p>i think we'll get more info on residential life etc. once we send our deposits. i heard from a wellesley student that we would have to fill out a survey about our habits etc. so that they could room us with a compatible roommate, i don't know what else they'll send us during may or the summer though. hope this helps.</p>

<p>room mates are assigned but there is a short survey in the fat envelope I just got mine today. There's also info about computer stuff, placement tests, the required writing class, and an outline of majors and academic resources.</p>

<p>hm....can we still request a roommate though? Or is it absolutely impossible? :/ I had a great person in mind to room with and it's a bit disappointing.</p>

<p>You might try it..... try finding contact info for the housing office it's not on the form but i'm sure it's online somewhere.</p>

<p>You can't choose/request/etc roomates your first year... you get matched based on your survey responses. They're really into forcing you to meet new people and whatnot.</p>

<p>Yes. And I heard from my end the Housing Office was not pleased. I think the would have liked to delete the LJ community after that. But it did work. <em>shrug</em></p>
