I just paid my tuition bill, but right after I paid it an extra $500 was in my "what I owe" page. Does this happen to everyone? It says it is my registration fee under "tuition and fees" category.

You only pay the part of tuition that the financial aid doesn’t cover. Once I paid my $1500 or so, a $3700 showed up, but with a small note that that is what Financial Aid will cover and that I do not need to pay it. Is this the same thing?

That would make sense. Now I see “Your registration is complete and your payment is deferred to financial aid. The funds will be released in the near future. You do not need to take any action at this time”
Thanks!

There is a part that financial aid won’t cover? Like what? I have a tuition bill, but I have financial aid because I can’t afford to pay the tuition. So when it says “due now” does it mean that financial aid won’t cover it?

No, this is for people whose financial aid doesn’t cover all of it. I got a $500 scholarship and a $2750 loan. That doesn’t cover all of it. That’s what I meant.

The tuition bill, if 100% covered by financial aid (meaning you get enough $$$$) should have a button that says “Pay with financial aid”. At least, this is what the website says.
