I'm going into Stern next year. Looking on Albert, pretty much all of the world cultures/con west/natural science classes are full already. Do they open up more space when we can register (7/5/07)?

Space opens up as registered students drop courses. Usually, classes like Calculus has a lot of students dropping after classes start, but I don't think this is the case for the required MAP courses. If you want to have a good shot at getting into those classes, you would need to register for them during orientation and hope that you are placed relatively high on the waitlist. Conversely, you can sign up for other MAP classes such as WTE.

Actually, they do open up more spaces for freshmen only over the summer, so don't worry.

If you're an incoming freshman, I'm pretty sure registration takes place during orientation.
