I registered for the SAT 2 in French and Math 1 through an organization which organises the SAT exam in my country and processes the registrations. I received a confirmation e-mail stating that my exam registration has been confirmed 3 days ago by the Collegeboard. However, as it turns out, I’ve been registered for Math 2 instead of Math 1. I just phoned the lady who processed the registration for me and according to her I can go with the current Admission ticket (that states French and Math 2) on exam day but actually choose to sit the Math 1 when the examiner asks me what exam I am passing.
Is that correct? Like, if I’ve been registered for one subject according to my Admission ticket can I say on exam day that I am passing a different exam? Wouldn’t that cause a problem when processing the results?
I cannot give a definitive answer. In the US, you can register for subject tests and then change what you actually take at the test site. Processing can sometimes be slower afterward but if you are taking the test now, you will have scores long before you need them for college applications. What I do not know is whether the same rule uniformily applies for tests given in foreign countries.
