<p>I went to international orientation. I am sorry your son had problems. Just to be clear though, USC holds spots in many, many classes for the international orientation students. What I was told was that they actually register a fictitious person as a place holder so that a class might look full but just before they open the registration for internationals they remove those place holders and spots open up. There were classes I thought were full the night before registration and the next day there were spots available. This is a very fair way and I thought good idea by USC. My registration was done in less than 30 minutes. I did not know what D clearance meant so now I do so thank you for that post</p>
<p>Yes, we were hoping for it to be smooth too, but anyway now things are sorted and he has good teachers. Plus happy with the dorm and food. What more can one want!</p>
