Can anyone explain how the class registration wait list works? If you have a full schedule, can you still put in to be on a class wait list?

From what I figured out, if you’re on the waitlist, you have to pretend as if that class is in your schedule. That means that you can’t schedule another class during the time of that waitlisted class, and that you should include it in your credit hour calculations.

I think they do this because it’s easier for the system to automatically place you into the class if there is already a time slot open for it. Otherwise the system will drop you from the waitlisted class.

Hope that helps! :)

True…

You can’t already have that class (another section) in your schedule
You have to have that time free in your schedule
You have to have “credit space” in your credit hour calculations.

Otherwise, when there’s an opening, the system can’t place you into the class.

And…the waitlist ends at some point.
