Registration

When do class of 2011 students start to receive their enrollment packets -- housing stuff, registration, etc.

a lot of people have already received these materials; they're sending them out immediately after receiving your deposit.

I sent in my deposit April 30th, and haven't received anything yet, also the check has not been cashed. Is anyone else in this situation? How long should I wait before I call the admissions office to inquire?

I'm in the same situation chacha, i find it hard to believe chriscap knows exactly what is going on in the hopkins admissions/enrollment office all the way across the atlantic no offense

I sent out my housing registration several weeks ago.

JIMMY- When did you send in your intial $600 deposit? How long did it take after that to get the housing registration stuff?

well no offense corroborator but i mailed my deposit in from over the atlantic on april 25 and got email confirmation that it was received yesterday. the email also says that my confirmation and housing materials are on their way.

furthermore i know a good majority of the facebook group has already received their enrollment packets via mail in the states.

Ok, so you got an email, how about anyone else? I think I will wait a few more days, and if I don't hear anything, I will contact the admissions dept. I think they want all the housing stuff in by the 25th of May, so it is getting late.

My son sent his April 30th,and got the email today (New England).

thanks mom- I sent my the 30th too, and I live in New England, so I will be looking in my email.
Is your son getting excited for September? What dorm does he want to live in?

My son got his e-mail today too confirming his enrollment. He sent his deposit in on April 30th.

Chacha-He's very excited, I think he's thinking about the AMR's!

Last year, I had recieved my stuff around mid-summer. You get your roommate, their address, email stuff, etc etc. You'll have to complete something called "alcohol edu" which is an online alcohol awareness course. I suggest you don't delay on it. I hated it.

We should be allowed to drink at any age, like what they do in Europe. That way there wouldn't be so much an alcohol hysteria once college begins.

umm... ok.

What's the story with registering for classes? I haven't received any info on that yet, do they send a package in the mail, or should I be checking my email?

You should be receiving both emails and a registration package from the office of academic advising. Often, the emails are purely informational, simply reminders to you to check and return the necessary documentations before each deadline. You could either email hopkins to inquire about your individual case, or keep an eye on upcoming mailings from hopkins the next few days/weeks.

My daughter got her registration package two days ago; you should get it any day now.
