Has anyone ever regretted going to UCLA and if so, why? Whats the transfer situation in UCLA, is it easy to transfer to another Public College in some other state?

guess no one has…thats good to know :)

You wrote that message at 2 AM and replied again at 7 AM. Most of us are sleeping at that time considering for some students this week is midterms week, haha.

Just to answer your question, no I don’t have any regrets. Solid school, good area, awesome people.

O yea…lol 12 hour time difference…shouldve waited :p

Most people won’t regret on choosing UCLA, but there will always be a few who regret choosing UCLA for a variety of reasons.
But for me, choosing UCLA is one of the best reasons I ever made. Not only did it give me a world-class education, but it also give me some of my best experiences I ever had in my life.

No… (+chars)

Maybe… :)

i cry myself to sleep every night thinkin about when i signed the SIR.

^ jeez, UCLA isn’t that bad.

Probably being sarcastic

Noo, not at all. :)

No. You’ll find lots of opportunities at UCLA. I’m glad I went here.

i do. not that im doing bad, i have a 3.665 gpa as a psychobiology major. . nut…i would be doing a whole lot better if i had gone to a lower uc and have more time on my hands…

oh yea, im at the end of my third year and finished with most of my science courses so, if you’re thinking of being a science major do not go to ucla because you really have to work and compete against 300 pre meds in each of your classes

im torn between ucla or ucb…

ucla is too close (about 30-1 hour away). Berkeley is too far (a nice 6 hour drive…)

both are great schools hands down.
i kind of like the ghetoo vibe i get at berkley. at ucla, i will be able to connect with old firends as well as make new friends. berkely is a bit better at social science but by a tad. ucla seems more chill then berkeley…
oh welll

whatyou guys think?

“ghetto vibe”? if i’m reading this correctly, what’s oakland got that compton doesn’t have?
compton’s only a couple miles away too…

just go to the one your gut tells you to. unless there’s a glaring difference (such as for EECS majors), then go to one or the other. i do not regret coming to ucla as well.

^
well for one oakland is more than 4 times larger (population-wise) than compton…
and much more dangerous than compton…i mean did you hear of the 4 policeman killed by an ak-47.
jk. jk. (well, sort of)
Oakland’s not really that bad as long as you dont venture off into the hoods (nothing to do in the hood anyways unless youre purposely looking for drugs or prostitutes) and use your common sense (dont walk alone at night, dont expose your valuables, etc).
i lived in oakland for 3 years, our store got robbed a few times every few monthes, I got mugged a few times…but yeah remember

BERKELEY IS NOT APART OF/alike OAKLAND (like total opposites)

lol i do cry at night wondering why I’m at UCLA.

The school’s alright. Classes are a daily monotonous routine. Professors and teaching staff often feel distant even though they’re not mean or anything. Let’s just say it’s hard to connect to most professors. The students are awesome and friendly.

But since I hate LA, it really doesn’t help. Guess I should have taken environment into account more when choosing a school.
