Anyone else regret NOT applying to a certain college?

Columbia and Yale are causing me grief for not having my program of choice!

Anyone else regret NOT applying to a certain college?

Columbia and Yale are causing me grief for not having my program of choice!

Let’s see:

University Chicago
University of Virginia (considered it, but then backed off)

That’s really it, actually.

University of Michigan.

Knew it wasn’t worth it because they are pathetic with OOS aid.

Still dreaming of attending for grad school, though :)

Hendrix and Pomona. I’m applying to CMC, and a bunch of other southern LACs, but I wish I had the cohones to try Pomona and had learned about Hendrix earlier on.

Georgia. I probably would have loved it there.

UChicago. Who knew it was going to jump from #15 to #9 the year I applied.

:-( damnit. Could have attended a T10 university. I got discouraged by the “nerdy” atmosphere lol. DAMMIT

^
Nerdy? Yet you chose Hopkins, Phead? ;)

Haverford would’ve made my list.

I’m happy with no regrets. I think the only way to do it is to disregard the rankings as much as possible and make a list based on fit. That way you’re happy no matter where you end up.

MIT Sloan … I just backed out for sloan because I thought I had too slim a chance, but now I regret it

Notre Dame – I loved the school and should have applied to at least one Catholic university.

UPenn - Wharton. Applied ED to NYU - Stern instead…didn’t think I have the chance. I’m happy with NYU, but there’s always the “what if?” you know? D=

(got into Stern though =])

wish i applied to vanderbilt ED… applied RD. bleh there goes my chance of somehow getting in.

i also wish i applied to lehigh.

Oddly enough, maybe some of the UC’s. Even though I’m OOS. Or the more popular CSU’s?
I might have been able to find a good match even though isn’t that much of a chance if you’re not in-state.

Princeton. Was afraid so applied to Dartmouth ED and got in. Not complaining though…

I kind of wanted to apply to Stanford, Columbia, Northwestern, and Brown, just for fun. Except college applications aren’t “fun”, which is why I didn’t apply. Not to mention none of them have my program… I guess I understand why I didn’t hahah

POMONA. Mother wouldn’t let me apply to a 3rd school in California (Maybe I would’ve picked the first two differently if I’d known haha)

CMC. I was too tired to finish the supplement plus I thought I wouldn’t attend there over Georgetown. Now I’m kind of regretting it…oh well.

I would have liked to apply to more schools but I know that many I can consider for graduate school. To mention one school specifically, I didn’t apply to one of my major state schools Michigan State University; if accepted it would have been a great financial safety. Though the school is located in my current city, I would like the experience of being in a different city etc… I currently have no financial safety schools.

Yale and Brown.
