Back in april, I had been accepted to cornell as a member of the class of 2014 and never thought I would actually desire attending. For that reason, I decided to enroll at a different college. Recently, I have been having regrets about my choice, wishing that I had chosen cornell instead. I know its very late but is there any possible way I could still be included in the class of 2014? Is it worth it to contact the institution or would I look foolish? Would I have to reapply as a transfer? Can I guarantee a spot in the class for the following year or for spring 2011? Or is this a lost cause?

i’m sorry about that. what college did you choose instead?

and as for your question, call Cornell admissions. it never hurts to ask.

You never know until you ask, but I suspect it might be late at this point. Cornell had a fairly high yield this year and, as a result, didn’t use it’s waiting list to admit more students.

If you aren’t able to attend in the fall, you should certainly consider a transfer. You’ll need to complete a full year at your current school, so starting in spring 2011 wouldn’t be an option. Cornell was obviously impressed with your high school record, so if you keep up the great work in college, you will be a competitive transfer applicant.

why would you ask “us”

call admissions office!
