<p>As much as I love this school, I made a mistake! I submitted the CommonApp, signifying EA. I now wish that I ED’d to another school… ><</p>
<p>It's a bit shady, but you can still apply ED to another school (EA is not binding). It's looked down upon, though.</p>

<p>You could talk to the admissions office or have guidance call them and explain that you meant regular decision.</p>
<p>Precisely because EA is not binding, schools don't have a problem if you don't accept. It's no big deal; that's why there is a difference between EA and ED. Declining ED is a problem, unless it's because the FA offer wasn't affordable (FAFSA/PROFILE don't get it right for every family).</p>

<p>BC has made it a policy that if you apply EA, you cannot apply ED to another school. Counselors are pretty good about holding students to that because they have other students who are interested in BC and they need to follow the rules for everyones' sake. If you do not want to be EA, simply let BC know that you meant for your app to be RD.</p>
