<p>Probably not. Public schools have quotas determining the percentages of students from in- and out-of-state in any given class. Like at UNC-CH, I think 18% of students come from outside of North Carolina. If anything, a decreased number of OOS applications will only increase the chances for out-of-state applicants because it's a separate pool.</p>

<p>Which is good for me, because I sure as hell need the help. ;)</p>

My D's grandmother lives in Ballwin, formerly Creve Coeur. What H-S did you go to? My D applied to W&M (in-state), and my fingers hurt from keeping them crossed. It's damn tough due to its standards and then more so because of its small size. Harder every year for in-states in a very competitive state. Good luck to you. It's a great school.</p>
