I just started using the Regular Barron's Book for ACT and the math seem incredibly difficult compared to the PR book. How does it rank to the real act test?

Barron’s book is generally regarded as the hardest ACT prep book that there is. Some people enjoy the more challenging questions, but others prefer easier/more general ones. Just be prepared that you’ll likely score FAR worse on the Barron’s practice tests than the actual ACT, and don’t get discouraged by it.

everyone claims its hard, which it is, but the material seems to be so good and i trust it!

My advice is learn the material you don’t know in the PR book, and then use Barron’s questions.

I would use it only for math. Only because math actually has concepts that you should master in order to do well on the test. But for other sections such as Reading and Writing, use PR. It’s actually worse if you use Barrons for these 2 sections because its questions do not reflect that of the real test. Plus there are no concepts that need to be mastered.

does anyone else find barron’s reading section too easy? i find it hard to believe.

NO WAY! Barron’s reading is not easier. It’s not easier in anything, in fact.

Thanks for input, Appreciate it.
