@jemilius16 take a look at the admission information at the McIntire site. They have lots of info on admission statistics for each year. Yes, it is competitive. They look at your GPA (first 3 semesters) as well as your “pre-Comm” GPA. They also look at your EC’s at UVA. S14 was just accepted to McIntire for the Fall and it was pretty stressful. He needed to have a Plan B in place. Know that many students self select out and don’t apply so the applicant pool is quite qualified. Definitely take a look at the McIntire site if you haven’t done so already. Good luck…my S loves UVA!
For those who didn’t have jobs this past year and therefore don’t have W-2 forms to submit, what did you submit to state this? I submitted a word document that said I wasn’t employed for 2015, had the date printed on it, had my name printed, which I then signed, and then scanned and submitted as a PDF. Yet I got an email saying something new had been added to my To-Do List (even though there was nothing NEW on there) which makes me think they didn’t accept this. I’m honestly really frustrated with this whole financial aid thing because I think I’m going to be attending UVA because of a number of reasons but I can’t make this decision till I get the financial aid package. Please help.
@bluepaint1, call the financial aid folks. No one here is from the Student Financial Services, so we can’t fix this for you.

Insane EC’s and really good essays
I was admitted EA to UVA and I came in to say to those of you who were waitlisted that I just officially withdrew my admittance. Congrats and good luck to whoever takes my place!
Actually, UVa has very large waiting lists. However, it is certainly thoughtful to let the admissions office know as soon as someone decides not to accept an offer of admission or to pull themselves off the wait list.

which only shows apartments and the residential colleges. Help will be much appreciated, thanks
