what are the chances of getting off the waitlist. How many people accept their spot?
@Luke273 it says on my letter that generally 20% of those who are waitlisted are offered admission, but three years ago they offered zero spots. Don’t know much more than that.
I got into Wake today. From Michigan. I had a 28 ACT, chose not to send scores. I also did not secure a spot for an interview. Knowing this, I did not expect to get in. Ranked 1 in class (Tied with 10 others)I have a 4.0 UW GPA, 4.5 weighted. Tons of APs, and a leader in most of the clubs at my high school. I worked on my essays for a month. I feel that the essays and my recommendation letters really helped me out. Congrats to everyone who got in, and good luck to those waitlisted!
@wptugs I don’t think there are any more merit scholarships to be released. Some people are saying notifications will be in a couple weeks, but I believe that is only for students who filled out financial aid forms and who qualify for need-based aid.
Please someone correct me if I am wrong.
I think you are correct regarding scholarships. Believe the merit scholarships (Reynolds, Stamps etc) are all done. They are referring to need-based financial aid, I think. We are in the same boat - glad S is accepted, but we don’t plan on spending 70K/year for undergrad study. Good luck to all.
Took the L ):

6 aps total, my school doesn’t have honors because all classes are considered at the honors level (which is true, believe me lol)
1410 SAT
3.7 weighted, only with ap, honors would be like a 4.5 or something

Visited twice, interviewed and was deferred ED-sent an update letter(so…ton of demonstrated interest lol)
I’m so excited and I’m definitely going!!!
If I was going to receive any merit aid (i know the full rides were given a long time ago but like smaller ones) would i have recieved that already or with my acceptance? Or is there a chance of merit coming in mid-April with info about need based aid? I really want to go but I cant afford it and have little demonstrated need based on FAFSA

When will financial aid and/or any miscellaneous scholarship offer be forthcoming? My son is excited about WF acceptance. However, he has numerous options at other schools with net annual tuition in the $30,000. to $35,000. range. Can not seriously consider WF at $50,000. to $70,000. per year. Any information is greatly appreciated.
@InterestedDad59, you should be getting that information by mid April. Good luck in your decision. Wake is a fabulous school.
Guys, I am in Mexico currently and don’t have access to mail. However, I checked my email and I received an April Events email??? Did admitted students get that email?? Or did everyone??
@nfk1234 I did not get it since I got rejected but admitted students probably got that email too.
But anyways, I got rejected from here and that is great because I am going to UNC; I just enrolled a couple of days ago but I would not want to go almost two hours there from here in NC and plus, I felt WFU would have not challenged me. Plus, some stuff was up with their IDOC and it was stressful filling that out since I have a single parent so I had to get a waiver (both parents have to contribute and I only have one), then have my mom fill out IRS sheet because it was not the kind of tax form they were looking for even though she filled taxes and makes under 10,000. UNC also gave me offers that were great so yup.
Congratulations to the students going to WFU! Y’all deserve it, so please - be proud of yourselves!!
Received notice of scholarship and financial aid in the mail, today. A grand total of $9,000. a year. C’est la vie.
Bye-Bye WF… one more spot opens on the wait list. Good luck to all.
