Have any of you regular decision candidates received an acceptance letter yet? Did you receive a financial aid package with your letter?

No, have you? I was under the impression that they weren't mailed until March 23rd, unless you're an internat'l student.

No, I haven't.

AHHH!!! I got mine today!!! Of course, I live only about 10 miles from Kenyon, so im probably one of the first to get theirs...

I got in! woohoo....

and whats better....FULL RIDE!!

Wow, i definitely never expected that. Im freaking out. almost $27k in grants, $16k trustee scholarship, and $2300 in loan/work study (which will be covered by my ohio academic scholarship)!!! I just cant believe it, i read it over and over like a thousand times.

Good luck to everyone! Theyre on their way!

Wow! Congrats rhunter.

I live in NC, so mine will probably come Mon or Tues. I hope it's good news...

yeah rhunter, i am amazed with the full ride that you got.

by the way i am an internat'l and heard nothing, although my classmate got an e-mail weeks ago that he was waitlisted. anyway i am just checkin my e-mail account every 5 min... may be i will have a small letter which says; oh we are sorry to offer you bla bla.... may be a FedEx ;)

good luck to everyone

If I remember correctly, last year my son's acceptance letter arrived and had a large purple "thumbs up" on the front of the envelope.

yeah mine had the purple thumbs up on the outside.

D received her acceptance today and I've never read such a wonderfully personal acceptance letter.

Nothing came today, Northern California. Tomorrow, maybe.

I got in today + a $6,000/yr scholarship.

I'm so excited!

I got in today! Yay! They gave me an awesome aid package--$12,000/yr scholarship + $18,000 grant + $3,500 loan. Very nice. Their letter was so sweet and personal. I'm planning on visiting soon.

Hooray, accepted! I'm glad it came today, it made the two rejections I also got today not hit as hard.

No scholarships though. :(

the letter really was great–very sincere and personalized.

Have any regular decision applicants in California heard anything yet?

Accepted; limited financial aid, but that was expected.....
Male from Maine
1330/1600 SAT
1970/2400 SAT (730M 600V/R 640W)
Top 25% of class (individual rank not provided by high school)
School does not use 4.0 system
School is public, but very very competitive
ECs are respectable.....three state championships, all conference team selections in multiple sports, some community service, multiple jobs at once for past few summers
Did not interview, never visited
Didn't reed recs but I assume teacher recs were exceptional and councillor rec was mediocre (my councilor doesn't know my name)

Like everyone else I like the personalization of the letter
I'm still waiting two hear from more schools, but I think it is highly likely I will be in Gambier next fall.

i got in!!! i'm so excited! loved the purple thumbs up and personalized letter, but honestly, i couldn't care less what the acceptance said. as long as i'm in that's all that matters!

Congrats to everyone who got admitted into Kenyon! Start looking forward to coming to college!! :-)

fiskelove - my daughter is at school so it hasn't been opened, but there is a fat envelope with a purple thumbs up waiting for her and we live in the SF bay area.

My D got in with a very generous financial aid/scholarship package!
