Regular Decision Accepted thread!

just got my acceptance letter via FedEx. I'll post my stats later if anyone else is interested. Congrats to those who made it!

congratulations!!!

you got your acceptance letter already?? you said for regular decision, right?

whoa! that’s crazy early. where do you live? do they send all international letters early?

To what school?

I also got an acceptance letter yesterday! Although I don’t think I will be attending as they gave me a bad financial aid package :(

I’m also an international student so that may explain my results coming out faster.

rejection sucks.

found out this morning via email.
i couldn’t even read past the first sentence.

hopefully comfort ice-cream and the passion pit EP (the answer to most every problem),
will help me feel like this awful day never happened.

on a brighter note, congrats to all those accepted.
esp. if kenyon was your first choice.

Well I got wait-listed. Asked for a lot of aid, international.

My D applied to Kenyon and I am surprised to see decisions were already sent. Were they sent by mail, email or website? Were only acceptance letters mailed and other notifications emailed? Mail came today, but no college envelopes!

Accepted through email. I’m international.

Not sure if they gave me any merit scholarship because the mail formatting is weird in this computer… I just looked at the final award and it looks pretty good :D

Arvp11: Passion Pit ftw! Also, does anyone know when RD U.S. applicants are supposed to find out? I’ve been looking around and can’t seem to find an exact date.

can’t come soon enough!

they sent me my acceptance letter via FedEx. I live in Singapore by the way. I was really surprised that they didn’t email me instead, as that’s what they stated they do with international applicants on their website.

anyways I’m really excited about the school, but I have to wait until the rest of my applications come in to decide where I am attending. good luck to those who are still waiting!

^
Kenyon really wants you, toujours. They decided to get out ahead of the other schools you’re waiting to hear from.

I know this is the millionth time someone has asked this, but has anyone heard anything about when non-international applicants will be hearing?

I looked at the Class of 2014 acceptance thread and apparently decisions went out, exclusively by snail mail, on Friday March 26.

I guess that translates to March 25 this year. Given the additional apps this year (4300 total vs. 4064 in 2010 [Applications Rise (Yet Again) at Dozens of Selective Colleges - NYTimes.com](<a href=“The New York Times - Breaking News, US News, World News and Videos”>The New York Times - Breaking News, US News, World News and Videos)) I would be surprised if they arrived any sooner, but I guess anything is possible.

Torture.

that’s strange that I received mine so early then. although I’m sure that if they REALLY wanted me they would have offered me merit aid -____-

haha beggers can’t be choosers, I’m happy either way :)

They must have a different schedule for internationals. My son’s coach called to tell him they were going into committee on March 9 and my son subsequently spoke with his admissions rep the day before this. She indicated the same. Their website says notification is April 1.

sigh i wish i never saw this thread

Just wondering-
I received a note from the Dean of Admissions/Financial Aid today thanking me for visiting Kenyon (which I did several weeks ago) and was wondering if this would be classified as a “likely letter”?
