Regular Decision Applicants

Honeslty, I don’t see why they won’t just waitlist me.

I’m sorry, how do i know if i’m accepted on the portal?
i know the link no longer links to a congrats,
but i was able to make an account 2 days after people discovered they could make a students account

i got the drug policy agreement too. i didn’t apply for FA, so how do i know i got in? something about award letter.
so confused :I

I got accepted with a pretty good merit scholarship, but no financial aid (wasn’t expecting to get any), for both fall and spring! I checked on the student portal (I made an account Sunday the 16th but now I can finally see my award letter) and have not received a letter in the mail yet, as I live in Colorado. Right now AU is my top choice, but I’ll have to visit campus again to see if it is the right fit for me. I am definitely going to do greek life wherever I go, and I want to see what the atmosphere is like at AU. I also want to see what the students at AU are like, and if I can mesh with them. Are any accepted students going to visit any time soon?

Anyone get in that wasn’t able to sign into the portal, even for spring admission?

Accepted with Presidential Scholarship ($20,000/year).
SAT: 2120 (1370 CR+M)
ACT: 35
GPA: 4.00 (UW), 4.45 (W)
ECs: Average (choir, varsity tennis, a few clubs)
Essays: Good or excellent
Recs: One outstanding, one good

Good luck to all!

You could sign onto portal?

@singitbrookieg Yes, I was able to log in about two days ago, but could only access my financial award letter tonight.

I can sign in to my AU account and I can see my financial award package. But no “congrats” message. I know it is redundant but does this mean I can consider myself accepted?

I didn’t see a Congrats message either, but they wouldn’t write out financial aid letters they didn’t have to.

I logged in to my AU account, but I can’t find my merit scholarship package. What do I have to click on? Can someone give me a step-by-step process, please?

Big envelope arrived this morning in NJ !

Congrats!!! Hoping they get to MA today

@coloradical we’re basically twins! i’m in the same position as you! i could finally see the official award letter last night. hoping my decision letter gets to MA today!

Rejected

@singitbrookieg - I’m so sorry to hear you didn’t get accepted to American - I know you must be disappointed and so are we. I hope you have some other great alternatives that will make you very happy.
It sounds corny but as a poster said on a different thread - you weren’t rejected, you were denied. It might be a subtle difference but there IS a difference.
Best of luck to you!

@singitbrookieg Oh no! I’m sorry.

any MA decisions received?

Thinking back to my oldest daughter and the painful denials, yes plural, that she received. She ended up right where she belonged…not a single regret and having the time of her life…yet didn’t get into her #1 choice.

D got accepted into her first choice but will have to reject it for financial reasons. Just as painful, maybe even more so in many ways. That is going to be the case for many many students these days so anyone denied is in plentiful company…

D accepted! Just got the letter. Had a bunch of problems with the portal and still has the frowny face, so don’t despair if this happens to you.
