What are my chances for AEM-- i want to do business

Your numbers are not great. If they like some of your ECs (varsity fencing is cool, good work experience, founder of a club) you may get in. If you get your SAT IIs closer to 700 range, you will also look better (applying to agriculture and life with a 570 in bio doesn't look too good). Maybe try a second choice major also, AEM is extremely difficult.

thanks everyone for your input. its was very helpful. i know my scores aren't the greatest but my selling point is all the leadership roles i have in my clubs and my work experience. i think my work experience is what will make me unique so im relying on it. I took the hardest courseload at school and tried the best i could.

my essays express my love for the AEM program and i mentioned the specific classes and student organizations that would suit me. we'll see how it goes.

AJKates, I think AEM would be easier to get into. It's known as the football major at Cornell. It's known to be pretty easy. I am not sure if it is easy for admission, but I hear the actual program isn't that hard, and the people I know in the AEM major are, in my opinion, the bottom of the barrel as far as Cornell is concerned. Especially as a girl, I think AJKates has a decent shot at AEM, since it similar to Engineering in it's underrepresentation of girls.

For those of you who are interested in applying to Cornell:
Among the many wonderful things about Cornell are the diverse offerings and the incredibly supportive student body. The arrogance reflected by the above poster is an anomaly. The vast majority of the population is interested but not judgmental about their classmates chosen area of study.

if its the football major at cornell, cant you just say a lot of althetes/football players like business? just because they excell in physical talent does not mean they lack any brains. im applying to aem because i like business...

How did you get the internship with the Grameen Bank. I am an English student that is emphasizing writing economic reports and I am interested in an internship with the Grameen Bank. Any assistance would be appreciated. Please email me at harrylevintrio@gmail.com.

gnrgurl--
I just got into AEM with 1240 SAT and 510, 570, 630 SATII's (Although SATII's are not a requirement at CALS). I'm sure I got in because of my leadership positions and work experience related to connecting business and environment.
