Hey, could someone chance me? I’m applying RD to Brown.

SAT: 2070 [Math:670, CR: 680, Writing: 720]
ACT: 27 (I really screwed up)
GPA: 3.88 (UW)
Class Rank: School doesn’t rank
AP Courses: 9 [Euro: 3, American: 3, Language: 5, Chemistry: 5, then five more to be taken in May: French, Geo, Lit, Physics C, Calc BC]
Honors Classes: As many as possible
Common App Essay: Very good
Supplement: Not bad, if I do say so myself
Teacher Recs: From what I imagine, very good

EC: member and eventually President of Video Club, member and eventually President of French Club, member of Afribike (a volunteer program for the benefit of Ghana) played in band until 11th grade, member of NHS, community service: creative arts program on saturdays

They’ll notice the 3s in the APs. If you want a STEM major, it may be forgiven. Have your essay and supps checked by a teacher or mentor who’s savvy re admissions- not another kid. These writings are not like hs papers. Also, make your ECs sound a bit more significant- here, we only see what you post- leading with video club and ending with one non-school thing…perhaps you can craft aeach of the ECs to show leadership committment, responsibility and results. (Eg, stand out in band? Lead the arts program? Did what for Ghana?) Any activities that were particularly challenging? A school like Brown will want to know about your strengths.
