Regular Decision - Chances?

Asian, Female, from MD. A handful of my friends got into UMD: CP with honors, though one of my friends got admitted to Spring semester, even though his stats are above average, so now I'm really anxious.

Thank you so much; it's much appreciated.

RD chances are significantly lower than the Priority ones (even for IS), simply because so many take advantage of the Priority deadline.

Your stats are on par for admission, although I’m not sure if a 2010 SAT will get you into Honors.

Agreed with previous poster, though I must say I got into Honors with lower SATs (well ACT equivalent) than that… But I thought you have to apply priority in order to be considered for honors?

Thank you, guys. Oh yeah, they reserve Honors for Priority applicants only, I believe. I was wondering about just my chances of getting in, in general.

I recall reading on the website that Honors and Scholars are only offered if one applied by the priority deadline.

Which school are you applying to? I’m also an Asian girl and I got into the Philip Merrill College of Journalism. My SAT total is lower than yours (1950), but I think UMCP only looks at the Math and Critical Reading sections.
