Regular Decision Chances?

I made a thread a few months ago, and I got deferred from Bowdoin, so let's give this another shot. I ended up applying regular to Northwestern (Weinberg), Amherst College, Middlebury College, Macalester College, and Bowdoin College.

There are quite a few people from my school applying to Northwestern - I'd put myself in the upper half, but slightly. Most are applying for engineering. I think my interview went well - it was a little awkward, but we seemed to hit it off in a bunch of areas. My supplement isn't the best, but it shows a lot of interest in the school and what it has to offer for me.

Bowdoin has 6 or so other regular applicants and I'm again in the upper half, but not a standout. My interview for Bowdoin went really well so that should help. My supplement was good, not great, I submitted the optional extra supplement, but my common app essay is great.

Middlebury has a couple other applicants. I think my interview went well. It was smooth and we had a lot to talk about. My supplement was a little esoteric but, I think, very strong.

Amherst and Macalester I didn't have interviews for, but I think my supplements were pretty good. I honestly don't know if other people from my school are applying.

What are my chances? My GPA is a little low because I go to an incredibly difficult high school (Thomas Jefferson in Virginia, if you know it). I plan on majoring in government or international relations. Thanks so much!

I will chance back!

The only school of interest of yours that I now enough about is NU and I think you’ve got a great shot! Best of luck

Thanks for the chance! I only know much about northwestern. I think you’re a high match for it.

Thanks for the chance! You seem to have great grades and a lot of great AP scores. It’s also great to see Latin instead of the usual French/Spanish that most people take in high school. You have really great EC’s, especially the two summer programs. I would say you’re mid-high match for most of those colleges.

hi. although i am only generally aware of the particular admissions statistics for those schools, your extracurriculars and standardized test scores are stellar! id find it very surprising if any of your colleges weren’t exceedingly interested in you. i wish you the best of luck in all of your applications!
