Regular decision class of 2018

haha I have been checking every hour or so. I check my email. My Madison Page and even this page to see if they have been posted yet. The good thing is that the waiting will soon be over!

“It looks like JMU has sent acceptances earlier this month to students applying for the theatre or arts programs. Perhaps they are evaluated separately?”

Arts applicants are not evaluated separately/ notified of academic admissions sooner than non-arts applicants. Academic and arts program admissions are separate. A student can be admitted academically to the university, but not to the arts program, so arts programs notify those applicants who are … (1) academically admitted to the university, (2) auditioned/ went through the portfolio review process… whether or not they have also been admitted to the arts program after academic acceptances have been posted.

It is likely that arts program acceptances posted by peers earlier this month were students admitted academically through Early Action in January, but just found out whether they were admitted or not to the program.

Just logged onto MyMadison. At the log in screen, a purple box says “JMU information technology is anticipating an increase in the number of users accessing MyMadison. Please make sure to use the ‘sign out’ link to close your session” I think it’s a sign! Maybe they will release them tomorrow?

Hope so!

@chillerbee Where are you transferring from?

@HopefulWaiting I’m transferring from a Virginia CC with AA’s in Business Administration and Psychology.

@chillerbee I’m also applying from a VA CC. But unfortunately we won’t find out our admission decisions until mid April.

@HopefulWaiting I know, it does say that but I called someone about a week ago to see if they would tell me the exact date and the lady I spoke with said by April 1. Maybe she was mistaken or didn’t realize I said I was a transfer. I might call again later today to see what they say.

I hope that’s true for transfers! I hope they send out decisions for freshmen soon too…

i heard today at 5… anyone else hear that?

@nervous33, where did you hear that from?

I think so too! They posted that message saying MyMadison is going to be busy

@Nervous33 did you hear that from a friend, or someone who would be sure to have reliable information?

5PM seems possible with the IT message going up last night, but I haven’t seen anything official yet.

Guidance counselor

@nervous33 Did that guidance counselor happen to tell you if that was for transfer students as well? Lol.

guys idk if this will work or not but type in your student ID number they gave you in one of the confirmation emails they sent you, and see if it lets you proceed from there, my guess is if it does we got in…
this is the link:
http://www.jmu.edu/ubo/depositpay.shtml</a>

did you try it?

just tried it but then i tried with all 1’s for the student ID and that worked too so i don’t think that’s the case

I just tried and it let me proceed. I got to the part where they asked me which card type i have. I didnt proceed. what does this meannnn?

Means nothing. I just tried it with their sample ID #102102102 and got to the same “which card type” screen. Looks like we need to keep waiting.
