When does Fordham start releasing the decisions for regular admission? Are they all realeased on April 1? Do we find out online or by mail?

Last year:
Some top academic applicants received acceptance LETTERS in February. Theatre and Dance applicants received acceptance LETTERS around 3/5. I emphasize LETTERS bc yes, it was a small envelope and the official acceptance packages with FA awards didn’t come until later. Most RD applicants started posting decisions on or around 3/25.

I think almost all of the applicants received their decision by snail mail, it may have been different for internationals. There was some trying to outsmart the system by looking at the FA pages for myfordham.edu around mid March to see if any awards were listed. There is good and bad with that though. On the one hand, it seems to be a pretty good indication of an acceptance if the awards/scholarships are listed. On the other hand, it can be stressful if they haven’t gotten to YOUR particular FA package and posted it. And finally, you could look at what they’ve posted and be disappointed with it but it might not be finished yet…that’s what happened to us last year but the final package we received had an additional scholarship that wasn’t posted online the day we looked.

It’s hard waiting and most people will not hear until the end of March. Even if you are lucky enough to hear early, you still won’t get the complete package until everyone else does. You’ve got another two months to go. Good luck! :)

So maybe next week we will see a waive of acceptances?

I think that most students will not hear anything until in April. From what sandkmom it sounds like only in unusual cases (ex. theatre/dance students who have to audition, and I guess a few exceptional students) get notified earlier.
And my S got and email and a letter from Fordham when he was accepted a couple of years ago. I think the email came a day before the letter arrived.
