Regular Decision Date?

decisions are posted…i got rejected…

My son got wait listed. It’s ironic that we had to wait this long and now he has to wait until who knows when.

I got accepted!

Accepted into JMU. YAY!

Accepted. I believe I will be attending Jmu unless I get off vt’s waitlist. Congrats to all.

@laurora: Lol. It’s funny how I keep seeing you everywhere! I got accepted too! Congrats to everyone!

wait listed :frowning: i am beyond upset

buklau… so weird, i got into vt but waitlisted at jmu, wanna switch?

Hehe I would love to. It probably was due to the fact that I picked engineering at vt. Anyway don’t lose hope. Anything can happen!

aw thank you! same to you. any ideas on how i can up my chances on the waitlist?

They don’t want you to do anything if you are on the wait list other than to tell them by May 1st if you want to stay on the list or not.

I have not gotten en email today from JMU. Anybody else in the same boat?

I got in! :)

wroooooong! wrong wrong wrong. Doing something will make you stand if you are on the waitlist. When on a waitlist, a college wants to know who will come should there be extra room to accept more. I made straight A’s an extra quarter while on JMU’s waitlist, wrote them a letter and made a stained glass with “I LOVE JMU” on it (lol) and sure enough, got in soon after I sent all that! The one thing I suggest NOT doing is writing/calling complaining about being waitlisted.

To all waitlisted: This is your last chance to show JMU is your dream school!!!

jhs8765- I’m assuming you were waitlisted? If you were, how long did you have to wait until hearing from James Madison?

I was waitlisted, and I’m already planning everything in my power to be accepted into JMU.

I believe you hear as early as early may or late as early June. Emails or phonecalls couldn’t hurt! As soon as I got waitlisted at vt I sent them an email saying it’s my number1 choice.

Yep, I was waitlisted last year and got accepted on May 16th. DO IT! do everything you can to get in (but I really dont recommend calling). Let them really know how special you are and advantages they would have from accepting you. Good luck!! And I have realized throughout freshmen year… Even if you dont get into JMU, it really doesnt matter. Just get involved wherever you go and for sure freshmen year will be a blast

does anyone know when we’re supposed to find out if we were accepted into the honors program or not?

jhs8765- do you think calling would be bad? i’m curious if there was maybe a mess up or something. this just doesnt seem right… i got into udel, psu, vt but all i wanted was jmu. i met all of the requirements that they listed on the website and on the tour. dual enrollment(where i got a 3.5 and plan to have taken 18 credit hours before the fall semester), honors class, straight A’s on midmarks, 1180 sat, 3.5 gpa 3.9 weighted. do you think calling would help my situation?

i can’t sit back and wait:(
