I submitted my application to Northeastern on regular decision, but I already received an acceptance email. Is it normal to receive results so early?

Lucky ): Maybe it was because you had such amazing stats that they couldn’t wait to accept you? Lol.

Happened to me also. I was accepted today

Has anyone ever heard of any early rejections yet? … Or just acceptances?

Me too! I think it’s because we were chosen for the Honors Program.

Congratulations! Honors at NEU is phenomenal. Are you all going to accept?

I got my decision yesterday too! I think Northeastern looks beautiful, and am thrilled to be offered a spot in the Honors Program, but it’s the only one of my schools that I haven’t visted yet. I need to do more research!

Can those accepted and asked to join Honors state some of their stats. Did you get a merit scholarship as well? Thanks for any information you can provide.

when did those of you who have been accepted apply?

Wondering if this early RD admission decision has happened in past years? Anyone ever heard of it?

Application status check not available at this time?!?!?!?! I remember reading in the EA thread that this happened before they got their results!!! OMG!!! So excited!

I applied for RD, but was notified about a week ago. I got accepted to the Honors Program and awarded the $20k Dean’s Scholarship.

Stats:
ACT: 33
SAT: Only a 2010
I also submitted two SAT Subject Tests.

Good luck guys :)

Has anyone who was deferred from EA received their decision?

A couple of my friends have received early RD admissions from other schools this year, and I noticed that they got acceptance letters soon after they sent in their fafsa and css. I just got my acceptance as well, and I just filed my fafsa and css two days ago… perhaps that has something to do with it?

^ Possibly, but I doubt it I filed my FAFSA and CSS maybe 1-2 weeks ago and I have yet to receive any admission response. I’ve lurked in these NEU threads and the trend looks to me like they’re giving early acceptances/Honors/scholarships to people with high stats.

I haven’t filed my FAFSA or CSS yet and I’ve received my decision, so I don’t think that has anything to do with it.

Im surprised I got into the honor’s program Im actually very very very very VERY happy
I have a 3.6 gpa and a 1910 sat score but im also international :p

I’m kind of surprised. I got accepted, 3.7 GPA and 2010 SAT, but no scholarship or honors program. o.O

^Did you read the entire acceptance letter? Honors/scholarships would be listed on separate pages.

it seems that they’re rolling admissions …
