regular decision interviews

I applied regular decision, and I still haven't been contacted for an interview.

When is the deadline for interviews?

If I am not contacted, that doesn't hurt my chances of acceptance, does it?

If not being contacted for an interview will not affect my chances of acceptance at all, I would rather not interview. Therefore, I am hesitant to call addmissions and ask about the interview.

What should I do?

P.S. I live in westchester, NY.

that is exactly the position that i was in. i called the dartmouth admissions office and told them that i was very nervous because all of my classmates had received interviews and i had not. they told me that lack of an interview in no way hurts admission chances. However, i just had an interview yesterday, so I think that they are still giving them out. I felt the same way--since it didnt affect admissions, why have one? However, the interview is intended to add another dimension to your application, and it is very laid back and casual. It can not hurt you.

i have the same question! i haven't been contacted for one and i REALLY want one. should i call, or is that pointless b/c obviously i would be emailed if they had someone for me?

Several years ago one of my son's friends received a likely letter-three days later he was called for his interview. Obviously, interview wasn't necessary.

thanks everyone. I think I'll just sit back and see what happens.
