Regular Decision Letters

I just called Admissions Office and was told the RD letters were mailed this morning. Good luck to everyone.

Does this mean it can get to NYC by tomorrow?

This has been such a disappointing couple of days... I would be ABSOLUTELY surprised if I get accepted by Wesleyan. I think this rejection will hurt the most... it's my dream school. Good luck to everybody... :(

Same boat I'm in too artsaved. Wesleyan isn't my dream school, but it'd be good to get in. I've had 3 rejections in the past 3 days.

artsavedmylife, I am in the exact same situation as you. I got 6 rejections in the last 2 days(no acceptances, just SUNY's so far). The only two school I have left to hear from are NYU and WEsleyan(Don't have high hopes)

o btw it is also my dream school

you are not alone. I had 5 rejections, and 1 waitlist. Looks like I might be going to RPI.

yeah its been a very stressful last few days. i got rejected by UCLA, Berkeley, Cornell, Tufts. I was banking on UCLA because everyone on the forum said id be a match and would likely get in so i was crushed when i didnt. On top of that Wesleyan is hard to get into and Michigan i got deferred. What an application experience.

Sorry to hear about your experiences, guys. I have some friends anxiously awaiting the Wes decision after multiple/surprising rejections. Good luck to everyone, I wish you the best!

(note: how bizarre does the word "anxiously" look? whoa)

same here. wesleyan and conn college are my last two, and wesleyan is tied for my first choice, and i've had two rejections in a row today (my other first choice school, but oh well. wasn't expecting much anyways).

i don't have high hopes for wesleyan either because of the early minority letter situation (i'm asian and i have yet to receive a letter?), but eh. it can't hurt to hope. looks like i'll be heading for uconn next year!

Yeah, there's no way I'm getting an acceptance from Wesleyan - out of six schools I applied to, I got accepted to one (Alfred University, a huge safety) and waitlisted at FOUR (Oberlin, Vassar, Connecticut College, and Bates). Judging by where I got waitlisted, I pretty much have no hope for Wesleyan.

Oh well. I'm getting pretty used to these small envelopes, I guess one more isn't that big of a deal haha.

we all seem to be in the same boat, or at least...similar boats...that sounds awkward...

i got 3 rejections and 2 waitlists yesterday so some good news from wesleyan would be the best.

but wesleyan is hard to get into : (

kate^^ i am waitlisted at 4 too- it is horrible!!! i won't know where i am going to college until july : (

lets try to be hopeful...

Hey, has anybody received any mail from Wesleyan since they submitted their application (other then acceptance/rejection letters)?

actually i might have received a letter of acknowledgement (that they received my app) with my WesCheck ID...in fact i'm pretty sure i did. i'm not very organized though.

I received a letter of acknowledgement via email. I also received a letter acknowledging my family history to Wesleyan (my sister's an alum). Btw, they used paper with a watermark of the word Environment on the bottom... recycled paper... I'm in love with Wesleyan.

i really don't think i'll be able to wait until monday.

I feel for you guys :( My brother just got 4 rejections and 1 waitlist yesterday. He has a couple of other nice options, still, but he's still waiting to only hear from Wes.

Good luck to everybody! And I know you're sick of hearing this, but it's true: college is an amazing experience across the board, and the chances are high you'll be happy wherever you go; that said, there's always transferring.

Just received an acceptance packet today in the mail. Live in Connecticut so I expect most people will receive letters on Monday. Good luck everyone!!!!

ssm07 -- Where in Connecticut do you live?
I live in upper Fairfield County (Newtown). I so thought mine would come today (especially since I'm expecting a thin letter), but I've got nothing.
What do you think is up?

Nothing in southern Fairfield County either. I'm guessing Monday. I know I'm not getting in haha.

Hey guys, don't give up hope... it seems like there are people getting waitlisted by their matches but getting into their reaches. Who knows?

...It seems like I've been fluctuating between optimism and pessimism.
