Regular Decision - Midyear Report

Do we only get the decision if the midyear report is sent?

Also, how important is the midyear report for Rochester?

You must send the midyear report; otherwise your application is incomplete.

The midyear report is important. They want to make sure that you didn’t slack off during your first semester.

@Chedva Yes, of course! But I was just wondering if they start to review the application only when they receive the midyear report.

Mid-Year Reports are usually submitted by your counselors in February. We can review your application without a MYR present, but we will not send out a decision letter unless the MYR has been received. Chedva is correct, we need the MYR to check on your senior year progress.

Check your MyRoc account on the admissions website to ensure that your file is ready for review. It will be marked as “complete” once the MYR arrives in February.

Hope that helps!

My application is on step 4, so does that mean that once they receive my report in Febuary I will get my decision in Febuary?

I applied under priority review and my mid year report hasn’t been sent so my app is “incomplete”. do I need to send in my mid year report to get a decision for Priority Review?

RE: Post #6. Yes, you must send your mid-year report. No admission decision will be made until the MYR is received.

Jazz, DS applied Priority Review and his midyear report has not been sent, but his app says “Under Review”, not “Incomplete”. You may have something else going on you might want to look into.

How does getting 65% in AP physics C in midterm affect the result if otherwise you are a good student with above 90 in all subjects except physics where it is constantly in 70s and now 65
