Does anyone know when Columbia is releasing decisions for the class of 2016? (Ivy day 3/29?)

I read that it was the 29th, yeah. But that’s just internet speculation.

I thought it was the 30th.

It is the 29th.

Harvard and Princeton have confirmed 29th…and by the common notification date of the Ivy Clause…Columbia must release on the same date.

Well, Dartmouth is releasing on the 30th.

Dartmouth was kicked out from the Ivy League as of today. Lol sawz.

Everything I have read lately seems to indicate the 3/29 after 5 p.m.

Are Columbia’s decisions going to be posted online on their status page, or will we get notified by email?

I know last years applicants got their decisions on their portals. a short video that says “Congratulations” or “Welcome” or something along those lines played for accepted students when they logged on.

is it the 29th for sure?

^yup definitely the 29th at 5pm EST!!

Where we can find the information?

Interesting wording in the email I received from Columbia:

“The Columbia community is committed to environmental responsibility; in keeping with this commitment, we will provide some admissions decisions only online, not via regular mail…”

what is the play on words “some admission decisions only online”? Can I read it as “rejects will be only online” i.e. we don’t want to waste paper on thousands of rejects? Weird!

@pmp123 A thread about that has been started here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/columbia-university/1309238-weird-columbia-e-mail-rejection-correct-take-look.html
