Hey guys! I was just interested to know when the admission notification date is. Do you have any idea?

I think that the “official” date is April 1, but I read some of the prior year’s threads and I believe that people typically get their decision mid-March.

I think last year it was around the 11th of March.

It’s consistently been around the 10th.

will people post here when they receive their decisions (regular decision)

so what are the chances of getting in if you didnt do ED and didnt make the cut for scholarships (which are all acceptences)

sorry, new to CC and S applying RD; its probablyposted somewhere but does anyone know how many they took ED and %'s of admission?

I believe they take 30% ED - approximately 450. That would leave approx 1050 for RD.

onecot59: Your numbers add up to 1500, the number of desired freshmen, but remember that for RD, there will be more than 1050 acceptances because not all acceptees enroll.

well, phew, i guess… but did wash u did the token 30,000+ applicants that the other top tiers got?!

Probably, because last year they had 28,826 applicants:

2135 you are correct.
Wash U has a yield of approximately 30%. So the 1,050 RD enrolled would mean 3,500 RD accepted.

I think the number is actually closer to 4,000 if you look at the chart of the above referenced link.

And, remember, most everybody who applies to WashU gets on their waitlist.

Stresseddad, I think the 4,000 includes the 500 accepted ED. So there would be 3,500 RD.

Are the decisions mailed out? Or is there a way to check them on the WUSTL pathway?

Are we sure about the roughly march 10th date? That would be awesome.

If you check last years RD thread, people started posting on the 11th. And yes, they come out on the WUSTL pathway a few days before they come in the mail.

Last year my son got an e-mail telling him that the admissions decision was on the website. He was accepted, but I think the e-mail comes either way. Good luck, everyone. It is a great school.

When do we find out if it comes out early or not? is there an early notification email that tells us when the official release date is?

No. Just periodically check the website around the 10th.
