Regular Decision Notification Date for Class of '16

i called admissions and tehy said “last week of march, first week of april”. but when i called to see when scholarship notifications came out, they said “last week of feb, first week of march.” !

Getting nervous guys :(
The 10th/11th is so close. If the decision will be on the 10th/11th, WUSTL will be the first top choice decision I hear from.

Oh yeah baby! Feel the thrill! Cant wait baby!

Now I’m sorry that I checked this thread. I thought we had several weeks before getting that horrible nervous tension in the house waiting for the decisions. Exciting times for all soon to come!

It would be such a b0nerkiller if they waited till April 1st lol

It really would. My brain is already functioning as if in the next 10 days I will hear from them lol.

I’ve always had in my mind that the decisions came out at the end of March.

But hearing that they have a possibility of coming the 10th of March is so exciting because it’s so close! Hopefully I get in!

has anyone called admissions for a date? i’ve called them so many times, they are now even recognizing my fake voices!

^LOL!!!
So do decisions usually come out on a Friday? Because the 10th will be Sat and 11th Sunday(Eastern time anyway).

Look, people ask these questions every single time a deadline approaches and the procedure should always be the same: Check the Pathway daily and don’t bother the admissions office.

For what it’s worth, ED decisions came out on a Friday (December 9th).

Last year the decisions were posted on the pathway on March 11th and the official email came the next day. Just check the pathway on the 9th - I’m sure decisions will be available.

This is all so exciting! I really hope that I am accepted. The days leading up to the 10th are going to seem like forever.

Wow! I have nationals for track on friday, my school might announce valedictorian/salutatorian that day, and now this! what an exciting day!

Holy cow, just checked this, didn’t realize decisions would come so soon. The thing about Wash U at my school is that if you’re in the highest tier grade-wise, Wash U doesn’t accept you and waitlists you instead. If you’re in the upper-middle tier, then you’ve got a chance of an acceptance. I heard it’s something to do with acceptance percentages and stuff… but I hope that doesn’t happen to me:( I just wanna get in. Really bad.

^I don’t think they’ll play that stupid game if you showed interest or volunteered to have an interview…I hope…#FamousLastWords

When do financial aid offers come out?

@ThousandMiles
I hope so, I volunteered for an interview and I applied for scholarships and stuff (not that I got one, but at least I took the time to turn something in, right?)
BTW, I’m pretty sure I recognize your username from the Stanford EA thread, am I right? How’s life been since that crazy time 3/4 months ago lol?

@serendipitee
What do u mean by washu waitlisting highest-tier people, and upper-middle getting accepted? Also what constitutes being in the highest tier as compared to the upper middle

lelouchFTW: a lot of schools do this now–if your application makes you seem “over-qualified” for the school, then they assume that it is your safety school, or at least a school that you are not seriously considering, since with those stats, you will probably have “better” options; it’s basically about increasing yield rate–if they don’t think you’ll attend, they’ll reject/waitlist you

one thing i don’t get though is how someone can be over-qualified for WashU…I mean, it’s not the most selective school in the world, but I know plenty of students who have chosen WashU over schools like Princeton and Chicago. WashU is just one of those schools that has such a great personality that the ranking isn’t as important (though it’s not like the ranking is low AT ALL–just not top 10, which is important to some people…)

“highest tier” I suppose would be the 4.0/2350+ students with letters of recommendation from professors and government officials and who have done substantial research/started their own businesses/have 100 in-depth ECs/cured cancer
