Good luck with Case - be optimistic - they deferred many strong candidates for EA for “yield management”
That’s a pretty big difference! Both great schools. Maybe let U of R know Case gave you 40k - schools may negotiate?
Case is also need aware I believe
Is UR mainly focus on medical research ?
It is approximately 72k a year
Yes Case is also need aware and we are full pay, but S22 received a big scholarship at Case and nothing at UofR. So while I believe they are peer schools academically, the cost factor is night and day!
Congrats to those who received nice scholarships! There is a lot to love about this school and a scholarship is certainly a compelling reason to choose UofR
Accepted, no merit. Too expensive.
Yes. She applied regular
Aw thanks, but she was waitlisted this morning.
Accepted! DD22 Super Excited! Does anyone get an acceptance email? We have not. Does anyone know if there is going to in-person admitted student day?
We did not get a separate email. At least currently, both a virtual and/or in-person visit for those offered admission. Either Saturday April 2nd or 9th.

I just wrote a long note but can’t delete it, even though I see ChartresBlue answered your question.
Thank you both!
Has anyone received their financial aid award yet?
Yes, son received an e-mail yesterday with information to login and access his financial aid package.
Has anyone heard the acceptance rate for UR this round for ED and RD? Congrats to all who are accepted!
My D22 was accepted and received $14K in merit/year. Did not get in her original ED choice (then deferred) of Williams. She’s also been accepted in Trinity. Waiting to hear from others over next week.
(Comp Sci / STEM girl - 1580 SAT, does technical theatre and submitted supplement. Did interview).
Best of luck to others!
Has anyone else still not received their financial aid award? Really getting stressed here!
Got in too. But 82k tuition…
I haven’t gotten mine either. Although, it’s likely because there was an form that I was supposed to submit to Rochester through IDOC… they wanted it in February but I didn’t see it until mid-March… Oops!
