Regular Decision Release Date

Hello! I just received a fed ex envelope with an acceptance! Very very exciting. But it says on it that this is just part of an early wave of notifications, so everyone should remain calm and wait for March 23!

Got my acceptance in the mail today! I’m in California.

teaberry-where in california are you located? did it come by fedex, like some of the others are saying?

I am near San Francisco. Not sure about FedEx because my mom just called me about it!

Thanks! I’m near Los Angeles and didn’t get anything today. So nervous!

Is anybody but MaddyC123 able to reach the step that she has described? Are they sending things out alphabetically? To athletes?

I’m just wondering if there are any common trends. It seems rather unexpected for a school to send impromptu letters home when they have only recently declared the times for online notification.

To provide a few cents of my personal experience with these “admissions decision loopholes,” a very similar thing happened to me with University of Rochester. Their “admitted students day” registration link was posted several days before EN notification. People on this forum were theorizing that “if you can’t sign up, maybe you didn’t get in”.
An admissions representative attempted to intervene in our speculation, but it was to little avail.

I wasn’t able to register for the event, so I was worried that I hadn’t gotten in.
The next day I got in. A week later I got merit aid. Clearly I wasn’t a last minute decision or anything. So yeah…don’t let this convince you of acceptance or denial.

Wesleyan (and peer institutions) have, especially in recent years, sent a wave of “early-writes” a few weeks before the general decision date to some of the accepted applicants. Just because you didn’t get one, doesn’t mean you were not accepted. Rather, consider it neutral to your chances of getting accepted.

Thanks Starky! That def calms me down! :)

I can get to the same page as maddyc123!!! Does this mean I got in?

Can’t get in :(

I got my letter today! Guess that page meant something  SO excited :)

Congrats maddyc123! I can see the page but still have no letter :(

My hypothesis is that the accept buttons were only activated for people getting early letters, so no one need despair.

Hmm so what should I think if I haven’t received a letter but the link is active?

It’s in the mail?

S got letter in the mail today…we’re in CA, maybe there is something to being able to log in…the letter specifically says that this is a group of early decision releases for top applicants…so, do not despair if you have not received word yet
Good luck to all

Is it coming via USPS or fedex?

Our letter came via USPS postmarked March 12

Just got my early-write! Yeah, it was post marked for March 12th. (I’m in Montana.)
Best of luck to everyone and congratulations!
