Anybody hear back from Peabody yet?

FTC68, I believe all merit scholarship notification is in your admit packet and not in any email (at least that's how it was last year when I helped stuff admit letters)

Like Tanman said, merit scholarships & the Wilson fellowship will be designated in your admissions packet that you will receive in the mail. The same is true for applicants to the BME program.

For Peabody/Hopkins dual-degree, your notification will also be distinct from the "normal" notification for regular JHU applicants, because of the unique way that these admissions decisions are made between the schools. I believe that Peabody is actually responsible for mailing these decisions, so you will probably have to wait a few days to get the news. Good luck!

Strengths:^^???
Weaknesses:I stopped playing soccer/baseball in favor of work/sailing, didn't mention that. A 2.5 never helped anyone. No interest in school until final year (I thought those kids who did all that stuff (clubs, competitions,...) were crazy, they complained about it all the time and never mentioned the effect on college admission...)
Why you think you were accepted/deferred/denied: Grades through jr. year were abysmal. No formal ECs in my declared major. Maverick attitude towards life probably showed in essays/interview, not typical of JHU students from who I know that goes there (fit issue?)

**General Comments/Congratulations/Venting/Commiserations,etc:[ /b] My concious self initially got over the rejection with some go 'ol rational thought. My subconcious has been dwelling on it all today. I was half asleep for a bit and I had a psuedo dream of sorta my past with JHU. Being born there (imaged from a third perspective?), the playground in the Children's Center downtown, trading orange drinks for chocolate milk at the summer camp, running around the Homewood Stadium track, learning about Microscopes for a one week internship, meeting the refrigeration staff because I broke a hose to a cooler for a computer I was building, practicing for travel soccer on the "barbados grass" field with the JHU soccer coach, blue sportcoat and slacks for my interview for the current job, studying for finals in the Eisenhower Library and sculpture garden, walking to Shriver Hall to get on the shuttle in scorching 100 degree weather, last leaving the campus by way of the cobblestone road 'round the beach. Okay, don't take that the way it looks - I'm emotionally apathetic towards it all. Time to plan for next year, good luck to all!

rejected.
haha, figures after i screwed up and sent my u of chicago essay to jhu for the optional essay. didn't answer any prompts and did only one of the optional essays.
