[li] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected:[/li][/ul]**General Comments: i was awarded $20,000 in scholarship **

My twins accepted; 3.75 and 3.85 GPA respectively. SAT scores were 2050 and 2040 respectively. No scholarship money so doubt I can afford to send them. Just wanted to post their stats and good luck everyone. A gorgeous campus, kids seemed happy, smart, energetic and kind during the tour. . .

I would feel safe sending my young adults there!

* Strengths: SAT score and essays
* Weaknesses: no extra curriculars, no honor/AP classes until senior year
* Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/denied: I don’t really know. I think my SAT scores and essays put me in the running for a lot of the schools I applied to even though my GPA is well below the average

I still havent heard yet, hopefully this week?

I was accepted too…25 ACT w/ writing…3.6 uw, 4.45 w…my essay sucked though, it was really rushed. I wrote about how I peer tutor with special ed kids. I am also an african american female and was president of my student body. I got the presidential award for 10000 a year. I applied early admission but didn’t get my acceptance letter until yesterday!

I applied for early admission too but they pushed it back to regular admission, so its a good to hear that someone got accepted that applied a long time ago

S was waitlisted :-(.
He has other very good options, but he liked USD a lot.

Tuitionsaver: just read the negative reviews of UCSD on students review and you will feel A LOT better about missing a seat on the Titanic.

I have a question, was there anything in the “status” boxes on your portal page? It says I have everything in but there is nothing in the “status” boxes/

I checked my portal and couldn’t find the status box, but I’ve already been accepted. Sorry can’t be of more help :/

thats alright it was just boxes next to if you turned in your SAT scores, transcript, and application

Placido240: I just read your comment, as follows: “Tuitionsaver: just read the negative reviews of UCSD on students review and you will feel A LOT better about missing a seat on the Titanic.”

Did you read bad reviews about UC San Diego (UCSD - public) or the University of San Diego (USD - private)? You said “UCSD,” but this thread is not about that school. Please clarify and, if you can, provide the link that you were reading on Student Reviews. I am curious to read the comments that you saw, if they were about the University of San Diego, and not UCSD. I guess I am having a hard time thinking of anything negative that kids could say about USD. Thanks!

I think the poster confused the two. On ************** dot com (sometimes websites won’t post here), there are a lot more negative comments for UCSD, the public. USD, the private we’re talking about on this thread, overall got very good comments but there were a few negative. I’ve found that site to be where many blow off steam or vent personal grudges for many schools but I’m sure some comments are valid.

Just copied that from the rules. I’ll PM you.

@AREV22
I haven’t heard anything for USD and there is nothing in those status boxes for me too. I know what you’re talking about. I have no idea haha. Maybe I’ll call the admissions office tomorrow.

@nosbod
Alright at least I’m not the only one. If you call tomorrow can you tell me what they say?
I applied for EA but got defered to RD, is that not a good sign?
