Regular Decision?

pcaz - you are not kidding. The very last school we are waiting on to hear. My D is ready to just accept Rollins and say forget SLC, and SLC is her #1 pick. I think it def must hurt them to wait so late in the game to do this. I don’t understand it. We’ve almost just given up getting excited about going to the mail box. And our mail does not arrive until 4:00!

I called admissions yesterday and they said letters going in the mail today (Saturday). By “end of the week” they really meant the very end of the week…excruciating.

ahhh i’m so anxious, it’s killing me!! the fact that i have wait through this weekend is actually painful

^Ughh me too! After getting rejected from my first choice, Brown, I need this so badly…
Sarah Lawrence, let me love youuuu

Finally…the fat envelope has arrived. I guess you can never trust what they tell you in admissions. Good luck to everyone who’s waiting. My S is at a Teen Lit Conference and will be very happy when he gets home.

^That’s awesome! Do you live near NY? Nothing here in FL…

Would you mind posting your son/daughter’s stats?

“Fat envelope” came today in MA… happy day…

Congrats northdad!

daylight, we’re in Colorado, so it was a bit of a surprise. It came by regular mail, not priority or express. Postage date is 3/29, if that helps. I’m sure you’ll have your decision soon. I know the wait is the worst! We had one college decision that took 5 days to get here from OH.

My S has a 3.3 UW, 3.8 W. However, I’m sure his being a guy only helped, plus he has some interesting ECs. Best of luck to you…I hope the mail brings good news soon!

For those of you that were admitted, did your application status online change also?

Still nothing in Boston. If I don’t receive an answer by Monday I’ll get suspicious. All my other late letters have been waitlists. Then again, my post office is horrid…

lotus815: I have nothing in Boston either!! That makes me feel so much better! I was deferred ED from SLC and my letter came super late because the admissions office got my address wrong. There is still hope!

My daughter got her fat envelope today in PA. We just logged into my.slc and her application status has not changed online, so don’t be discouraged if you have not heard and your status has not changed.

^ My S’s status hasn’t changed either.

It could be that SLC staggered the mailings so that decisions for applicants in states further away were mailed first. Perhaps they finished up the mailings yesterday or today and you’ll receive your decisions on Monday.

@daylight: we are like the same person. Rejected from Brown (first choice), Amherst, Oberlin, Vassar, and Middlebury all in one week. I could really use an acceptance letter right now :/

Nothing in our mailbox today, we are in Florida. Hopefully Monday. My daughter could really use some good news, and to be accepted to her dream school, even if we can’t afford it, will be wonderful. If we get the thin envelope I know I will cry right then and there at the mailbox.

Seriously, what is the point of the applicant link if we can’t check our status?

LOL. my thoughts exactly. I’m really hoping I receive something tomorrow

I might cry if I don’t get anything tomorrow. I have that kind of debilitating senioritis where you have absolutely no motivation but can’t stop studying.

So why do you want to attend SLC?

D accepted here in GA, with scholarship! We were floored, as we were prepared to not see any money from SLC due to their small endowment.

congrats!! do you mind posting your efc as aren’t scholarships given on a need basis? (:
