Regular Decision

Does anyone know when the RD letters will be coming out?

From previous years’ threads it appears Gettysburg sends letters out the last week of March. Anyone else know for sure?

Don’t know for sure, but it seems to me that my daughter received hers around march 20th, maybe. However, that was a few years ago. Last year, Gettysburg posted on their website when the letters went out. Not sure if they’ll do that this year, but keep checking.

My daughter works as a tour guide, and last year she just happened to see the letters being loaded up. Slim chance of that happening again, but I’ll ask her to keep her eyes open and if she sees anything, I’ll post it here. Gettysburg is on spring break this week, though, so I know for sure she won’t see anything this week, as she is on her way home.

Good luck to both posters.

So, some of the letters have definitely been stuffed, but don’t know when they will be mailed. Acceptances will be in orange envelopes with a clear window on the reverse side that will show “welcome to the class of 2018” from the folder inside.

Ctinct, Thanks for the update.

Thanks for all the updates. Any idea of an actual date since we are later in march now? I know they have sent them out around this coming week in the past. Hopefully we will all know soon! (:

This isn’t really a scoop, because my dd found it on Gettysburg’s Facebook page, but letters were apparently mailed today. Good luck to those waiting.

I’m thinking letters should start arriving in mailboxes today! [-O<

On the #Gburg2018 Twitter feed some kids got their acceptances - but they were very local to the school.

@EandEsDad - I just looked at their Twitter feed. How do you know the acceptances were local? (I lack any Twitter knowledge. lol) Nothing in our mailbox today. D still waiting for 5 letters including Gburg. She has tomorrow off of school for an Act 80 day so maybe she’s just meant to discover the acceptances (fingers crossed) in the mailbox for herself. :)

D received admission letter today. We live in Central NJ.

If anyone who is still waiting is curious about what the letters look like, there is a picture of some of them in a mail truck on Gettysburg’s website. Good luck to those of you waiting.

Received acceptance in today’s mail in western New York! (outside of Buffalo). Good luck to everyone waiting!

Congrats NYwhiz! We’re downstate but I’m at work – hoping S got something too.

Nothing yet in chicago

Nothing today in suburb of NYC…

Waitlisted :(

Accepted! 1280 CR+M, 29 ACT, 3.8 UW GPA, Class rank 2 in a small public high school

Congrats rcl2014! S’s stats aren’t as good as yours so he might be rejected or waitlisted.
Sorry to hear Phong – hang in there – if you still want to attend, contact your admissions counselor.

Can anyone confirm if accepted and rejected letters both went out? I live in north Jersey and still nothing in the mail.
