For those who have been rejected, my condolences. But don’t be depressed! Tomorrow is a big day with a lot of schools coming out! And I’m positive every one of you will find the perfect place!

Rejected… But already accepted at UChicago, Rice, and WUSTL. First rejection this season. Hopefully tomorrow goes well!

my bad. all the views were probably from me. XD refreshing. like several thousand times…

Just found out that I was wait-listed. I’m a bit disappointed as Williams was one of my top choices, but hopefully better news will come tomorrow when I find out about Brown and Duke!

Rejected ~ condolences to my fellow unwanted. Still, I’ll wipe my tears on the acceptance letters I got from Carnegie Mellon and Middlebury today.

Rejected ;-; …

Waitlisted…but I’m optimistic for tomorrow, have seven schools coming in. Accepted to WUSTL and Rice so far.

Rejected =( but I didn’t think I would get in anyway- its a super competitive school. That being said, I still have a whole bunch of schools left to hear back from over the next few days!

Accepted! Very excited. My SAT was quite below their median.

I’ve decided not to bother with the waitlist, the amount of students they accept is so ridiculously low and I really don’t want to get my hopes up. I’ll go to a different college that accepted me. Really, a waitlist is just a honorable rejection.

Accepted! 2300 SAT, 4.0 GPA …so excited!

what does the rejection letter look like? can someone copy and paste please?

Waitlisted. 2310 SAT, 34 ACT, 3.77 UW GPA (bleh). Strong extracurriculars (incl. multiple national-level rankings), and work experience. Accepted at Trinity (w/ Presidential Scholarship) and Syracuse, Waitlisted at WUSTL, UChicago, and CMC. Rejected at Northwestern and Pomona. Eh, it’s a crapshoot. I’ll know if I’m accepting my spot tomorrow. Congrats to those who got in!

Accepted! Financial aid package is very generous. Still waiting on UC Berkeley, Cornell University, Georgetown and Duke.

Waitlisted. Not accepting. Seems like a ton of people are on the waitlist this year.

Accepted!
2240 SAT (superscored), 3.96/4.33 GPA, legacy applicant, and basically recruited for trombone.
Accepted: UChicago, UC Santa Cruz, Macalester (w/ largest merit scholarship offered)
Waitlisted: Northwestern, UCLA
Waiting on Berkeley and Haverford, but I’ll most likely commit to UChicago.

Good luck to those joining the wait list!

Rejected…2320 SAT (one sitting), 2280 SAT IIs (Physics, Maths II, Spanish), very good common app essay, GREAT supplement (my best piece - every person who read it loved it).

Williams was one of my top choices; I’m quite bummed right now. Being international isn’t easy.

I am sorry to inform you that you were not included among those selected for admission to the Williams College Class of 2018. In conveying what’s sure to be disappointing news, I want to emphasize the Admission Committee’s appreciation of your ability to do very fine college work and its awareness of the contributions you’ll make to the college you attend.

Meeting over the past two months, we have made decisions on nearly 6,500 applications, representing one of the most outstanding groups of candidates in the college’s history. The quality and diversity of the applicants this year made it enormously difficult for our 10-person Committee to decide among all of these wonderful students.

In selecting the Class of 2018, the Committee sought to incorporate a variety of talents, interests, and backgrounds from applicants who would benefit from a Williams education. Ultimately, though, the reality is we have room in our first-year class for fewer than one in twelve candidates.

I know the coming years will be rewarding ones for you, both intellectually and personally, and I wish you every success as you embark upon your college career.
