Regular Decision

Hey, I just wanted to start this thread for people who are applying for regular decision. Anybody can talk about anything in the admission process here. I am applying to other schools but one of them is JMU.

Good luck! My son is a freshman at JMU. He is so happy there!

I applied EA.

I applied early action too.

So when will the EA people hear??

2 WEEKS

(10 char)

when are we supposed to get the decision?

sweethart5349, Decisions for EA are mailed mid-January. RD is mailed in early April. I think decisions come a little later than at most other schools.

bottom line. Jmu is awesome.

Could you tell me why JMU is so awesome? My d. had such a good feeling about it. But she hardly was there long at all! Just wondering why it is so popular with so many kids.

Well, somebody (not us) got a letter yesterday... still waiting.

I did ED and i got in >.<

I'm soooo happy

i applied other schools but JMU is like my number one choice

y2K, Congratulations! BTW, ED is not an option. There is only EA or ED.

did she transfer or visit for a brief time?

tia, If you have questions, my son is a freshman. Feel free to send a PM to me, and I will tell you what I know from him. My son is very happy there.

what's difference between ED and EA?

The simplest way that I can explain it is that ED is usually binding, which means that you agree to withdraw your other apps if accepted, and you must attend. EA is not binding.

y2k, sorry, I meant to say that the options are only RD or EA. ED is not an option.

i think they were just wondering what ED and RD stood for...
Early Decision - ED
Regulart Decision - RD

for all you supposed n3wBs out there, dont worry, youre not the only one

Does anyone know when RD decisions get sent out?
