regular decision

Hey I have a few questions...
1) When do results from regular decision tend to be sent out? Are they sent out in waves or all at once?
2) How generous is Santa Clara with merit-based scholarships?

I think i received my acceptance sometime mid to late March. I don't really remember the exact date. I think the acceptances are sent out in waves (local people tend to receive theirs first). SCU does a pretty great job with financial aid but you should definitely contact the Financial Aid Office if you have anymore questions.

March 19, set date to notify all students. No more rolling notifications as of this year.
Santa Clara University - Michael Engh, S.J. - Public Commentary is where I got this information.

jdcpenner, thank you SO much for relaying that information! I was completely unaware that they had moved up the date of acceptance--I thought I was going to have to wait till the first week of April!

Edit: actually, now that I read that, he might be referring to the class of 2014. I hope not tho :P

We have initiated a range of efforts to secure next year’s freshman class.

*Set one date, March 19, for notifying all “regular decision” applicants, rather than using “rolling” admissions. Far less confusing, it is the practice that most major universities are using.

This was spoken on February 23rd... so I'm not sure if he's referring to c/o 2013 or 2014...

President Engh is referring to Class of 2013 most definitely, of that I am certain.

I got a Financial aid information email, which said this:

Admission decisions and Financial Aid notifications will be mailed by the first week of April.

so it is most defiantly possible that they can come out as soon as March 19th, and no later than the first week of april. that's hella bomb :D I'm so pumped!
