A lot of my friends here in the central NJ area all just received their Stern acceptances today through the mail. Unfortunately, though I considered myself a competitive candidate, I did not get anything from NYU today.

Does anyone know if it's guaranteed that all the acceptances got letters today and the rest are probably rejections and waitlists and whatnot?

In other words, does NYU just subtly send batches based on decision type or something like that? It would really help to clear up my mind.

yea, ive talked to some people who've gotten acceptance letters from NYU already and i havent received anything yet so i have a feeling that when i do get a letter from them, it wont contain good news. T_T

That's exactly how I'm feeling. I'm kind of numb in shock right now because NYU was one of the schools I considered a great match...and I really didn't expect to not get in.

not all acceptances were mailed out yet. right now i think they are being mailed out to applicants who were on the higher end of the spectrum. april 1st is the official date that acceptances are going to be mailed out.

mandy, that is encouraging but Stern Scholars is something I would've really liked to get into (iirc I don't think you can apply again for it)...that, and I didn't consider myself a weak candidate.

On to 4/1 and hopefully at least getting in, I guess.

nope alotta cas people have also been accepted and although they just know by invites to the cas reception i have a feeling this reception is NOT just for the higher applicants...

They sent out ED acceptances/rejections together in waves. Not acceptances then rejections. I was accapted but didn't find out until over a week after the first round of ED kids. I assume they do it the same way for RD.
