When are decisions for regular applicants coming out?

Last year, letters were mailed out on Friday, March 23. I have not been able to determine what the plan is for this year. Anyone else? Might letters have been mailed yesterday??

I am so nervous! I forgot how selective Bates is! I’ve been accepted at all the other schools I applied to except for one that I got wait listed at. Bates is the only one I haven’t heard from and it’s one of my top choices.

Does anyone know anything about how internationals are notified? Email or FedEx?

I read somewhere that we should receive notice by March 31st. However, if they ma23iled out the letters on March 23rd that would be good news for us, since we are in Massachusetts.

All of the schools that I’ve applied to that send decisions out non electronically to internationals sent them by FedEx. I wondered if Bates would do that same. I though I asked a valid question. It seems like bigbadbecky and bigchuck don’t think so, or am I wrong?

@IBinLux: Just from hanging around on the boards this past week, I, too, have gathered that most international notifications are sent via FedEx.

Were they mailed priority or economy? Just checking out the FedEx site now for estimated transit times.

I have no idea :(

If I may, I received my admission decision for ED2 via e-mail and mail arrived later via usual Air Mail.

I don’t know how true it will be for Regular Decisions, but I think it’s unlikely that they’d change process of notifying students that much from ED to RD

P.S: note that I’m international. Domestic students received their decisions via mail

@Sue22 Thank you for the information.

That means they send out the decision letters to ALL the applicants.
Nothing will come via e mail, right?

@Vonama actually, international students will receive the decision through e-mail by April 1st

My son was admitted! Bates has always been his first choice - he was deferred from ED. I need to go cry now…

Congratulations BTMell! I am very much hoping for the best for my daughter in today’s mail.

My fingers are crossed for you, bb5454. We’ve visited twice and there’s a good chance he’ll be on the golf team - we felt like it would be a fabulous fit. I’m overwhelmed right now!

Congrats! Was it an email or letter?
