I just got my acceptance letter...yay.

congrats!! one of my best friends is going there, she was accepted ed

Congratulations! I just looked back to see that you were in state. I hope that means out of state might arrive on Monday, assuming they were all sent at the same time. Unless...were were notified by e-mail or did the mailman bring the good news?

I got mine today also, woohoo! (in-state). Don't know if I'm going there though.

i also got my acceptance letter today... ditto with danielbess.

Instead of getting acceptance/rejection letter, I got another request for fin aid forms they are missing. I got the same letter about 2 weeks ago, asking me to send all the missing forms, and I did.

but I guess I forgot to send W-2 form lol

is this a good sign?

What an unexpected surprise in the mail today! Now I can finally sleep!

The letter from the financial aid office was a "good sign" in my case. I got my letter requesting additional info about 2 weeks ago. Good Luck! I'm sure you will get good news soon!

Has anyone heard who isn't in-state?

I didn't get a letter Friday, I did get some Fin Aid request a while ago though. Oh well I am probably wait listed or worse. (I am in-state)

Was the acceptance letter a packet or a letter?

are you instate kids in nova? or closer to the burg?

just wondering, as I have senior friends waiting on letters too. =)

I am a male from Virginia Beach.

I got my accpetance letter/packet yesterday!

I got my request for more fin aid papers yesterday. Does this mean they wont send my decision until i send my forms? I would hate to send in more info that shows that im gonna need more money, i feel its like sending in my own rejection letter by showing im gonna need lots of money. am i just overly worried?

It's hard to say, GreatAmericanStud. W &M is not known for handing out dollars and they clearly state that they are not need blind in admissions nor will they meet 100% of demonstrated need. I can't help but think that a borderline applicant that needs lots of aid is at a disadvantage. If the FAFSA was filed earlier and they just want confirmation with 2004's returns it must not be too big of an issue. Otherwise I think they would not have bothered to ask for more information and stopped the process right there and put the file in the rejected pile. Are you in or out of state? With the price so low to begin with for in state students I also find it hard to believe that this would be an issue unless you had an EFC of ZERO. At any rate nothing will happen if you don't sent the additional foms in. Maybe those already accepted can share their packages and you can get a sense of how need affected admission.

I am sending my forms tommorrow(monday) as soon as possible. They already have my fafsa form and know what my EFC is.. If they want to reject me for low income, so be it. I just want to know whether I got in or not. :D

I think I am gonna get my acceptance/rejection letter tomorrow on Monday. Tomorrow also happens to be my 18th birthday. The William and Mary letter could make or break my BD, Damnit they better accept me, or else I will feel crappy for a while.

W&M is need-blind, it is not true that if you need financial aid and you're a borderline student it will be to your disadvantage, not true at all! I was accepted and needed sooooo much financial aid, I didn't get to file a FAFSA 'til July and they still covered pretty much everything. I had contacted the admissions office prior decisions soo they knew that I needed aid and I still got accepted. I'm a freshman at W&M by the way.
