@ayyyyyyy If you are invited, in addition to a paper invite, you will get an email on the 26th.
Did any of you guys who received a Reilly invitation receive a christmas card as well?
I’m in Cali and I got the admissions packet, a Christmas card, and the Reilly invitation a few days ago
I was fortunate enough to be invited to Reilly and I hope to attend but I don’t quite understand the criteria for being accepted. Does anyone know what they were looking for?
^Chocolate Sprinkles.
I’m figuring out an estimation arrival date for people in Cali or surrounding states (sad, but true). For anyone who has received their invitation letter in Cali, reveal yourselves (or in Oregon, Washington, Nevada, etc.)
My S received his acceptance packet and Reilly invite on Monday. Different envelopes, same day. In California.
Me too ^ they must have sent them together for everyone then
Still haven’t received one… is it safe to assume that I wasn’t invited? (I sound like a 10 year old boy not getting invited to my friend’s b-day party haha)
I am not really sure how they choose who gets a Reilly invitation but to all those high achieving kids who did not get one, I would not been too upset. I know a Hersburgh-Yusko scholar who did not get a Reilly invite.
Here in Colorado, we’re not giving up hope that a Reilly invite could still arrive. Son got an invitation from admissions to apply for the Hesburgh-Yusko after he was accepted and pre-admitted to Mendoza. So anything’s possible (and the mail seems to travel slowly to our suburb.)
Worst case scenario, fares are as cheap as $79 RT to Chicago from Denver. Just have to endure a Frontier Airlines flight experience.
Didn’t know that they invited applications for HYSP after the 11/15 deadline.
I didn’t either, but they did.
“The Office of Undergraduate Admissions has referred your name to our office as a strong candidate for our Program, and we are pleased to invite you to apply for consideration.”
@ShouldBeWorking Dumb question, but does the mailman still deliver on X-mas or holidays in general? Because if it isn’t today, then it prob won’t be sent tomorrow since the email for Reilly comes out tomorrow.
To my knowledge, mail doesn’t deliver on Xmas day. I’ve found it virtually impossible to find rhyme or reason for when colleges send scholarship offers, acceptances, program invitations, etc. Everyone will know one way or another soon enough, so it’s really not worth fretting over.
Daughter never got letter in mail, but received the e-mail invitation with registration instructions this morning! Christmas mail rush must have delayed the letter… Maybe it will arrive today…
It appears that invitations are now out as the Email invitation arrived at a little after midnight. Snail mail has not arrived.
Are all the Reilly email invitations out by now?
Yup, as CPADAD said, they came out shortly after midnight EST.
Yes emails were sent at midnight Eastetn Time
