I was expecting a rejection, but hey, it was definitely an experience, lol.

I don't know who asked, but the letter says "Of those offered admission, most achieved nearly straight-A averages, with average SAT scores near 2100."

Rejected from USC, but in UCLA, UCB, and UOP's pharmD program.
Just goes to show how randoms things can be.

Rejected.

Accepted to UCLA OOS.

Quite random, folks!

"Of those offered admission, most achieved nearly straight-A averages, with average SAT scores near 2100."

Cough Cough... Definately not me.. =_=;; math screwed up my A averages and AP chem too...

PS Yes, life is random. I was accepted into USC yet not UT Austin. ***? I know people who got in Rice, Emory, Princeton and still didn't make into UT Austin... I wish i least tried to apply to UCLA and UCB ( i know i wouldn't make it but least i can try)

Rage- OH i put in Japanese/Korean singers as my favorite singers (hayashi Asuca and Younha) i bet they were like who the hell are they?

Wow, I'd trade USC for UCLA ><

my stats; rejected from annenberg:
3.66 UW, 3.82 W
SAT1: 2190 SAT2's: 700 Math 750 Lit
strong recs, ecs, and essays. or so I thought. =)

I totally prepared myself for it, but rejection... still sucks.

sorry to hear that...may be cuz of your gpa? I had much lower SAT I than you and got into viterbi. May be I was lucky.

My counselor used to work with the USC admissions last year so she knows about some stuff going on this year. The reason a lot more people got rejected she said was because the Board of Trustees was pushing the school to pick students with higher SATs.

My SATs were relatively low.

lady- wow if i haven't gotten the decision already that would have scared me...

I wish I would have known that I only took the SAT once, but oh well what's done is done.

yes. usc is the type of school where a few ultra wealthy "gatekeepers" control the admissions process.

hmm I don't know about USC but I would appeal though with alot of recommendation letters!!! At the same time I got waitlisted to UVA which means i don't hear about my decision until June! Man I've been having bad luck with the whole college process lately and I have a cold.

wow babybokchoy, my stats are almost exactly the same and i got presidential

750 literature, 700 math
2190 SAT in one sitting (2200 otherwise)
and 3.63 gpa

thats really strange that you got rejected
