It seems like NYU is sending out all these "hints" : Saturday at the Square, Sunday at the Square (or whatever), shady acceptance e-mails to certain individuals, and the sketchy logging in e-mail system.

1) For invitations to Saturday at the Square, University Day, Sunday at the Squarre (or whatever its called)- does it "officially" say you're accepted? I was just wondering. I know it pretty much means you're in and some even called the office but I was just wondering if it is official already?

2) Should I be worried or does it mean I'm rejected if a) I didn't receive ANY invitation or jack sh1t to ANYTHING b) I couldn't log on to the system.

I'm realllly nervous. I hope this doesn't mean I'm rejected. I REALLLLLY WANT TO GO TO NYU...

Step 1: Inhale. exhale. last thing you want to do is forget to breathe dear.

Step 2: Realize that yes, most of these invitations are pretty much likely letters so those said individuals are probably, if not definitely, getting in.

Step 3: Before you get out the razorblades, noose etc. also realize that just because you didn't get one this does NOT mean you are not getting in. In fact, the general consensus seems to be that most people do not receive such invites.

I am feeling the same way as micheeatsfish...I hear about all these people getting letters and invites. Still, this is CC where a lot of top applicants would be, but it seems as if most people on the NYU board have received them. I am just wondering how many accepted people receive these invites compared to the total number of accepted applicants.

Yea it is good idea to keep in mind that a lot of people on here are the top applicants to schools. Although I have no idea about the number of people who get these invites vs. people who don't, if it makes you feel even the slightest bit better I talked to a few people from my high school who go to nyu now and none of them received any of these invites, but they do remember freaking out when they didn't get one. So atleast you know that not getting one doesn't mean you are not getting in.

and guys, don't forget that College Confidential is usually filled with serious applicants--there are going to be something like 7, 500 accepted this year and this site hosts only a couple hundred of those, if that. don't despair at ALL. :)
